Core Philosophy

UtilsBar is built with a privacy-first mindset. We believe that your productivity data is personal and should remain under your control. Our application is designed to function entirely on your local machine.

Data Collection

UtilsBar does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

  • We do not require you to create an account.
  • We do not collect your email address or name.
  • We do not track your usage of the application.
  • We do not use any third-party analytics services.

Local Storage

All data processed by UtilsBar—including clipboard history, notes, and file shelf items—is stored locally on your Mac. We do not use cloud storage or synchronization services by default. If you choose to sync data using system-level features (like iCloud Drive for specific folders), that data remains within your private Apple account and is never accessible to us.

On-Device Processing

Features like Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and text utilities use Apple's native frameworks (Vision, Core ML) to process data directly on your device's hardware. Your images and text are never sent to a remote server for processing.

Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
